Mac or PC
September 10th, 2006
If I had $3000 for a dope system, would I buy a Mac or PC? Oh, no question. PCs are great if you know what you’re doing. Heck, ANY computer is great if you know what you’re doing.

plus, with 3K to play with, I’m hard pressed to see how one couldn’t get a great computer, regardless of OS of choice.

PC. I mean, you can’t replace productivity with flashy commercials. If you are in design (you are not), then a mac is great, those machines are tuned to that workflow.
However the moment you try and do anything beyond stich together some pictures for a slide show, you find yourself wondering why you don’t have a PC.
Don’t get me wrong, they are beautiful machines, with a beautiful OS and great user interaction.
In the end, you have to ask yourself, are you paying for style, or substance.

Why not a current Intel Mac? You have the choice of Mac OS X or any x86 operating system. Just an idea.
