Technohoti’s New Fancy Pants
October 17th, 2006
Because I know you’re going to find it anyway, Technorati recently put up my staff bio. If you have any suggestions on how I can re-write it (as I did that one in like 10 minutes because poor Scamper had been asking me to do it fore-ev-ARR), let me know. Additionally, I don’t have to fight with my surly PowerBook, “Dr. No.” anymore because I got a new supershinyfancypants MacBook today instead. I’m now taking suggestions for names — I’d prefer something relatively bipolar as I plan on running a Windows XP parallel on this thing. I know. Crazy, I know.

For some reason “DivineDivision” comes to mind.

I got a macbook with Parallels, too. I call mine Blair, in honor of everyone’s favorite Christian mom and former “Facts of Life Star” Lisa Welchel (or whatever her name is - she’ll always be Blair to me).

I’d change your bio to read something like this:
Glenda Jayne was spawned organically when a rogue dandelion seed found it’s way into the birth canal of a Bengal tigar. She was born free, thankfully, but was captured some years later when she wandered into the midst of a safari group who happened to be in the area scouting locations for an upcoming New Edition video. Her acclimation to civilized society was relatively smooth, but certainly not without its share of hiccups. (One need not be reminded of that period of time that has famously become known simply as, “The Thirst.”) However, since joining Technorati, Ms. Bautista has managed to slip enough roofies into the beverages of her colleagues to account for their acceptance and admiration of her as an employee. In her spare time, Glenda can often be found hunting gazelle.
