Site Background.

A brief history, manifesto, and disclaimer.

Agendacide.com was accidentally born on June 18th, 1998 in a smelly off-campus domicile of four college students with a cable modem. I was the only one of the four in the house that did not major in Computer Science, and I could swear by the time that I moved out of that house I was bionic.

The domain name comes from the song “Agenda Station” by a band called Attrition. The blog name, “Minutes from Somewhere Else” comes from a lyric in a Jimmy Eat World song. It would take another ten billion paragraphs to explain why I picked these two songs, but I guess I’ll leave you to read the lyrics and decipher as to why I picked them.

I would show you earlier incarnations of the site, but it all seems arcane now. I really don’t think you need to see what happened between late 1998 and the end of 2001. After all, that’s all over now. I was young and stupid and on the web. Well, I’m still young and stupid on the web, and I know an impending quarter-life crisis sounds really interesting and all, but it’s ultimately embarrassing as heck for me.

This is a medium for my endeavors, and nothing more. The opinions expressed within this site are that of myself — and not those of my employer, my homies, my loan sharks, or any other organization (like The Mafia, The New Jack Hustlers, or The Cold 187, for example) that I may be affiliated with.

Lastly, I’m sorry that I couldn’t come up with something more funny to say about this site, except that I often type entries without pants on.
